Save the date, there will be limited places this year due to venue choice so keep an eye on the newsletter for ticket purchases, more info to follow in the next 2 weeks.
All members are invited to attend our half yearly meeting to
inform members on how the club is going mid-way through the season, and
it’s future direction.
The committee has established a strategy and plan for the
club’s future, incorporating the member feedback provided in last year’s
questionnaire.
The meeting will also include a Q&A session with the
General Committee on general club topics.
The meeting is expected to take 1-1/2 hours, and the bar
will be open.
The National Theatre St Kilda and CLOC musical theatre company are performing ‘Kinky Boots’ for a very limited run of two weeks starting May 17th. Kinky boots is a marvellous movie, the music and lyrics for the musical adaptation are by Cyndi Lauper.
Cloc’s
two annual performances are unfailingly professional. Previous shows include
Wicked, Jeckyll and Hyde, Les Miserables, Jesus Christ superstar to name just a
few. As a volunteer for the group (front of house ushering duties) I have
secured a group booking of tickets at a discounted price, $48 each, for a 2pm
matinee performance on Sunday 19th May. Even at this early stage ticket
availability was very limited. Any ESC members are invited to come on 19th May,
first in best dressed as far as ticket allocation goes.
Early
bird tickets are still available online from cloc.org.au
for anyone who can’t make this date.
If you would like a discounted ticket for what is going to
be a very enjoyable performance, please contact Helen Whiston on 0433965602 or
email helenfw2001@yahoo.co.uk
The overwhelming positive reaction to the introduction of Sail Pass has shown us that our members understand the importance of being a responsible, proactive club. SailPass is a quick and easy way for your guests to secure a temporary ESC membership, thereby allowing them to participate in on-water activities.
SailPass is primarily for the safety and welfare of your guest. The registration process for your guest ensures we have adequate information to provide the correct response if an emergency was to occur. SailPass also satisfies a number of compliance requirements for the Club, including Australian Sailing Racing Rules and insurance requirements.
To help you decide if you need to complete a SailPass or not, here is a short reminder:
A Sail Pass allows you to bring a guest to the club for a day to sail, crew, paddle. The sail pass gives your guest the right to use the club and facilites and gives them on-water insurance.
A non member can register for a free pass 4 times per season. All guests must complete registration before going out on the water.
