Victorious 125s in WA!

Two 125s left Elwood Sailing Club via a container for the National Titles in Perth. Which was a mission in itself – with a race to get the boats there on time.

IMG_9319  Jamie Thomson took Slow Boat and Geoff, Hugh and Rufus Craig took Boarlistic. Despite the weather being extremely hot – typical WA – the regatta was extremely competitive but amazing fun. The winds were lighter than expected with some quite shifty weather. The series was successful with a win of the Open Title by Jamie Thomson and Katie Gill (Ex Elwood SC members – who now live in Perth), this was Jamie’s eighth title and Katie’s third.

We also took back a trophy for the club by winning the Family Division. Triumph by Elwood’s SC members and ex members all aroundIMG_9408

Ever wanted to sail or get to know one of the most exciting catamarans in the world?

Well here is your chance.            Feb2016 158

Saturday 5th of March from 9am to Midday.

Come down to the club to see the F16 and F18 catamarans. Both an F16 and an F18 will be on display but the day will be focused on the F16. Association president, Mark Stichbury-Cooper will be here to show off his Viper F16 and answer any questions you may have. He will have information on new and second-hand F16.

For those of you who are serious about getting into a F16 or F18, today will be your day of discovery. Duty Instructions for Members

As a sailing club our racing is run by volunteers and member duty shifts which are very valuable to the club. We have great people involved and helping out.

As a sailing member completing your rostered duty is an essential component of your membership.  It is important to pre-confirm your attendance using “Dutyman”, arrange a swap if necessary, and to record your attendance so that you receive average race points and boat storage points if applicable.
