2014 Top of the Bay Results

The Top of the Bay race was held on 8 February 2014 in an 8 to 12 knots southerly with 68 boats competing.  Click here for full results boat by boat.  

  • First Catamaran “Capricorn” Aus 04  F18
  • First Monohull “Black Jack” Aus 21 Flying Dutchman
  • First  Team  Elwood Sailing Club
  • Second team Port Melbourne Yacht Club
  • Third team Altona Yacht Club

Note : 10 entrants are required for a club to achieve a team result. Other clubs participating with less than 10 entrants were Albert Park Yacht Club, Albert Sailing Club, Williamstown Yacht Club and visitors from Royal Brighton Yacht Club, Black Rock Yacht Club.

Elwood Fun Day 21 Dec 10am to 2pm

Meet club members and go for a sail with them on their boats. Get to try trapezing on an A class cat, putting the spinnaker up on a 125 or National E or see how different a Sabre is from a Laser. A great way to find out about next steps in sailing. Open to all, so you are welcome to bring your friends and family.

ESC Christmas Party Saturday 14th December

Old St.Nick and his helpers will be making their annual visit to Elwood Sailing Club on Saturday 14th December, so be there with your kids, grandkids and their friends to welcome Santa Clause back to ESC.  The party will kick off after sailing around 5pm with some kids games and party food before Santa’s arrival and followed by a BBQ, and the good news for all you scrooges out there is that it’s free again this year!

Parents & guardians, please remember to bring a small labelled gift for each child attending as our Santa will have been out sailing all afternoon and will not have time to shop beforehand…

Club Rules and Membership Policies

The new ‘Rules of the Elwood Sailing Club Incorporated‘ (the Club Rules), which were adopted at the ESC AGM on the 14th September 2013 have been approved by the Registrar of Incorporated Associations at the Department of Justice and so came into effect on the 14th of  October 2013.

The Club Rules and associated ‘Policies & Procedures – Membership and Subscriptions‘ are now available for reference under the Membership dropdown on our homepage.
