ESC and Windsurfing Victoria ran a series of 3 Sternchaser races in rapid succession in filthy brown bay rainy conditions with a lot of fun by all. Duncan Banks blitzed the field on a borrowed Super X Board.

It was great to see every one stay on for the after-sail drinks and bbq and be joined by friends and families. Thanks to Giles for persevering in the rain to cook up what must be the best bbq cookup we have had yet.
Elwood Sailing Club will be participating in this year’s ‘Go Sailing Day’ on Sunday 7th November from 10am – 3pm, which which will provide an opportunity for our friends and the general public to have a look around the club and at our facilities, grab a sausage and a soft drink (and maybe a beer for the big kids) and even go for a sail if hewie is willing!
We will need volunteer members to help by showing visitors around, looking after the barbeque and bar and setting up & skippering some boats for joy rides. Please contact Mark White at manager@elwoodsc.com if you can help out next Sunday.
This Saturday 13th November – Sternchaser Round One & Season Opener Party
Cost: $5 Bucks per person to cover boat/barbeque costs
Race: Off the beach, round the boat and back with handicap on gear and ability to keep the wave sailors and freeriders in the running. 3 Races. Prizes from RPS.
Light Wind: – SUP Sailing Knockout SUP’s kindly provided by RPS. Racers compete against each other in a 4 man battle to round the cans in the shortest time leading to overall winners and prizes awarded.
Barbeque: Quality Meats and Salads by ESC served up on the balcony.
PARTY! Kick the season off in style as DJ Jonny & Kahoona spin the House and Disco classics until midnight.
Race Registration 3pm. Racing 4pm. Barbeque 6pm. Party 8pm. Carriages Midnight!

The Elwood Seahorse Old Boys 2010 annual dinner and reunion will be held at the ESC clubrooms on Tuesday 9th November, commencing 1800 hours.
All Elwood Old Boys and ESC Members are invited to attend, Old Girls are most welcome too! Cost is only $60 ($50 for over 70’s) and includes 3 course meal, pre-dinner and dinner drinks.

The mailout includes a proxy form and details on the Special Resolutions 1-5 that the General Committee will be putting to the meeting for approval.
